The Eagles Return With Studio Album, Tour

The Eagles announced that they are currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on their first full-length album since 1979's The Long Run. Guitarist Joe Walsh told Billboard.com, "We're just finishing vocals and mixing it. We're all finally signing off on it." All four band members took part in the songwriting process which, Walsh claims, "go in some really, really new, different directions. It's hard to compare to anything that I hear out there now." The Eagles plan to finish the album for the rest of the year and then tour extensively in 2008. "I don't think I would cancel being an Eagle and resurface with a solo career," he added. "I love being in the Eagles, and we're not really done yet."

No release information has been released.
